Solution for: Unable to Start Wireguard-GUI

When i start wireguard-gui i get this at the end. Until now i dont needed to use snaps... And i don't know where i can find a better matching version to my system than from the "Software" Manager...

(process:24455): GLib-GIO-WARNING **: 15:25:10.174: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.portal.Error.NotAllowed: This call is not available inside the sandbox
libEGL fatal: DRI driver not from this Mesa build ('23.2.1-1ubuntu3.1~22.04.2' vs '23.0.4-0ubuntu1~22.04.1')

My Solution for having a Wireguard GUI:

sudo apt install wireguard resolvconf
start the actual Appimage from: Release 0.1.5-stable · leon3s/wireguard-gui · GitHub

(Maybe its better to using the deb, but this works)

Welcome to the Forum!

Your error Message shows that there is a Problem with the Mesa Driver. It seems that the Snap wants to use a different One and that is the Reason why it is blocked.

If there is a .deb Version, You should try it with this.

Thank you. I use debianiod distries since nearly 20 years and avoided all time "modern bu**sh*t i dont need". But actually i believe i need appimages & co... (and also my Windows Graphics Software i can successfully start via "bottles")
BTW:
In earlier times i used (when i cant use the shell) mostly synaptic for installing packages... I understood (wrong?) the normal=best (??) way for installing software in Zorin is the Tool "Software" (blue Suitcase Symbol).

One Example: I want to use Orcaslicer (or Davinci Resolv). Is there a "Ubuntu/Zorin way" for that, or should i pull the appimage from their Webpage ?

Using Synaptic is perfectly fine - many of us recommend it over the Software Store app, actually.

When Synaptic works for You, simply use it. you don't have to use the Software Store. You can use directly the Terminal, too. that is up to You. There is no common ''best Way''. The best Way for You is, how it works the best for You. I use Synaptic, Terminal and the Software Store.

I don't know these Programs. So, I can not say anything to them. But to look on their Website and check what they are offer is a good Way. When they offer a .deb File, You could use it from them directly.
