Sound Blaster detected but no sound in Zorin 18 core

My pci sound card

is detected but I have no sound. did the trouble shooting techniques but so far nothing. any help would be very awesome. It works in windows but not in Zorin. I have disabled my onboard sound in bios so I wouldn't have a conflict.
