Hello im using zorin 17.2 pro os. i have issues with my sound, it doesnt sounds very clear . I use alsamixer to correct it but not always corrected. the sound card name is HDA Intel PCH and the chipset isRealtek ALC274 . If you can help i will appreciate it . I like the zorin os.
If you are able to correct it with alsamixer, did you then go on to save the good alsamixer settings using:
sudo alsactl store
Welcome to the Forum!
You could take a Look in the ''Additional Drivers'' Tab in Software & Updates to check if there are any Drivers for Your Sound Stuff is offered.
Another Thing would be to try it with PulseAudio Volume Control. It is a Program to set up Audio Output and Input. You can install it the Terminal Command sudo apt install pavucontrol
I would also look at installing QAS mixer. Check to see if 'Tone' is checked, and uncheck it if it is checked. This causes 'scratchy/distorted' audio if checked.
I installed pulseEffects and it works but i have to start the program in every boot
