SSL +2 outputs

Hi al!
I'm new to zorin os. My sound card SSL +2 work fine but just on the main 1-2 outs.
For some reason no audio applications (reaper/ableton/ocenaudio) can see the alternative 3-4 outputs.

Any help will be appreciated.

Open terminal and type alsamixer
Hit F6 to select that sound card.
Hit F5 to show "All" sound channels.
See if any output channels are muted (i.e. show as MM). Move cursor there and Hit M to unmute, also uncrease the volume slider to max. Repeat for others.

If [Auto-Mute] channel is set = "Enabled" then toggle that to "Disabled"

If that does not help. Make sure the entire alsamixer screen is showing (no overspill arrows on right edge) and post a screenshot here.

Thanks for your help! Still nothing, but also can't see the "mute" section you described. Screen added.

Ty,
What's the brand?
Is this dual boot?

With the sound stick connected please open 'Software & updates", after it has finished loading
Click "Settings" goto "Additional Drivers" TAB. as see if there are drivers that relate to your audio stick. If so select & run the update app.
If no driver is found please continue with the update.

Have you run a BIOS firmware update?

No soft update for my card. No, I didt updated the BIOS.
Yes, its a dual boot, under Windows 10 recognize the 4 outputs.

Thanks!

Great,
Please run the BIOS firmware update.
also while in BIOS please disable "fast Boot"
Open in Windows & then shutdown the pc,
restart into Zorin & see if this helps.

Added:
Also while in BIOS change your power setting to "performance" if not already done.

Thanks but still nothing!

When you are in alsamixer
Are any other sound cards listed when you hit F6 ?

I have done some websearches and come up with nothing helpful for SSL 2+ audio.

You can try websearch yourself. Just include Ubuntu 20.04 instead of ZorinOS in your search term to get a wider search base.

Thanks! Yes, it detect few cards.

If you select HDA Intel PCH what do you see?

I see this.

That looks more familiar.
Can you widen the screen to show channels spilling over on the right edge (indicated by window edge arrows)
Unmute any output channels showing as MM

Are you getting sound output OK from that sound card?

I never used this card, in fact the ssl out 1-2 works fine, the thing is that out 3-4 is not available in any app that I try.
