StarCraft 2 Screen Freeze

Thank you all for your support to get me acquainted with ZorinOS the past few months. You're awesome!

I was playing Star Craft 2 this morning, when while in-game, the screen froze. Zeratul still responded when I clicked (though i don't know where), but there was no movement on the screen itself, nor would the screen scroll. Is this a RAM issue? I feel like this might be a RAM issue, maybe a Heroic Launcher issue?

Does this happen several times or was it the first Time this happened? What are Your Hardware Specs and what Specs wants the Game?

First time, but I have played StarCraft2, campaign and co-op, on this compie (both Windoze10 and ZorinOS 17) before.

Note that the compie has a Quadro T2000 with 3GB VRAM.

And how much RAM does Your System have? And how fast is it? Is in BIOS the XMP Profile active? Have You checked the Logs for any Errors when the Game freezed?

Which nvidia driver do you use?
Do you have fractional scaling enabled?
What's your refresh rate?

The OP is running an Asus ProArt StudioBook system...

(1) 9th gen Intel Core I7-9750H 2.2GHZ 6-Core CPU.
(2) 64GB of RAM
(3) Quadro T2000 GPU with 4GB VRAM
(4) Disk Capacity 2.5TB
(5) Zorin OS 17.3 PRO
(6) Running in X11

It appears to me, that the OP's system exceeds the system requirements, by a whole lot.

The Quadro GPU cards are Nvidia's workstation GPU offering. While typically not meant for gaming, should be able to handle powering up old games like Star Craft 2, which have Windows 7 era of system requirements.

I'd suspect there is a driver for his Quadro in Additional Drivers.

I think the main reason for the OP's issue, is that they are running in "MESA" drivers, only meant for Intel integrated SOC GPU's.

I decided to re-install the Nvidia drivers, latest on the Nvidia website, and got this message. Which do you recommend?

What I could find out, the Quadro T2000 is between the GTX1650 and GTX1060 in performance, but as I mentioned, I've StarCrafted with it on both Windoze 10 and ZorinOS without problem.

I guess you installed via Wine? Try run StarCraft2 via Steam instead and see if it helps. You can run non-Steam gamews via Steam.
