I have the issue also, and I dont have automatic login activated!
For me it seems it has to do with having howdy (face recognition) and as second option fingerprint activated.
Any idea?
I'm not sure if a solution exists for unlocking the keyring with fingerprint.
In this guide is also written that the keyring stays locked. The first time after boot you have to enter the password to unlock the keyring.

Yes, it's more like a double safeguard and not very practical.
So Iid I had to choose one fingerprint would be more practical over all. Does anyone now if its possible to solve the keyring problem for fingerprint login?
I ran into this problem when the Proton VPN app was in the previous version. It deleted the stored passwords. I was told to reboot, add blank password when asked, the enter rm ~/.local/share/keyrings/* and immediately reboot. Enter the passwords again and all is well.
Until the next time I run Proton PVN app. I don't bother. I now use Windscribe.
Couldn't figure out how to add more to my post all it seemed to do is show me the history so I figured I would do it this way.
To resolve the issue, I turned auto login off, and the first or second time I logged in it prompted me with an option to automatically login in to the keyring when I logged in so I chose that and the next time I logged in I wasn't prompted for the keyring so it looks like that will work for now.
