When I am selecting the Download folder - it displays in such way in chrome. Before selecting the folder one more time, I was downloading some files, but the folder was empty.

Chromium from the Zorin store does not have this problem it seems. Any reason you need Chrome?
Don't know how to solve the problem - I've seen it before in other apps myself...
I'd just change it to ~/Downloads and be done with it tbh
