Hi,
I’ve been thinking about ways you could help more people feel confident enough to try Zorin OS — especially users who are curious but hesitant to leave Windows behind.
Here are a few ideas I wanted to share:
1. A safe dual boot demo USB (without wiping Windows):
One of the biggest fears for new users is accidentally wiping their Windows installation. A pre-configured USB stick with Zorin OS that sets up dual boot automatically, without removing existing data, would be a great way to let people “just try it” safely.
It could be marketed as an official “test kit” with simple visual instructions and recovery options in case something goes wrong.
2. Send demo kits to tech YouTubers (with no review obligation):
Sending out a few of these USB sticks to tech YouTubers — just to try for a few days without requiring a review — could go a long way. If they do choose to talk about it, their feedback is more credible than a sponsored segment.
Start with Linux enthusiasts, but eventually branch out to gamers, creatives, and general tech reviewers.
3. Embrace criticism transparently:
When negative feedback comes up, treat it as valuable input. You don’t always have to agree, but responding with openness and explaining the reasoning behind design choices builds trust.
It also helps create a user culture where people feel heard and valued.
I believe Zorin OS has great potential as a go-to system for beginners. It already looks polished, is easy to use, and feels well thought out. With just a little extra push in accessibility and visibility, I think even more people would be willing to give it a real try.
Thanks again for all your work on this great project.
Best regards from a happy user.
