Supported WiFi 6 cards?

Heya, so just a general question but are WiFi 6 cards supported with the latest iterations of Zorin OS 17 (or even the Ubuntu-distros in general)? If so, which would be the "better" one to get? I know WiFi 6e is locked to Windows 11 hence the slight confusion. Many thanks.

You could simply try if it works. Put Zorin on a USB Stick, start it and choose the ''Try Zorin'' Option to start in the Live Mode. then look if Your Wifi works. You can take a Look in the ''Additional Drivers'' Tab in Software & Updates if there is a Driver offered, too.

And so, You can do it with other Distro's, too. Linux Mint, Fedora, Debian etc.

Hmm, maybe I didn't word my question correctly. I want to upgrade the WiFi card (a now decade old WiFi card) with a newer WiFi card (preferably WiFi 6 or higher). However, I would like to know if there's any known issues with using said cards under Linux like the aforementioned WiFi 6e issue.

I've been using an Intel chip on my desktop for years without fail, it's just a wifi 6 chip (ax200) but as far as their support goes, according to their chart you should be able to go to even their first wifi 7 chips since Zorin now uses 6.8 and those require 6.5 or higher.

I've been meaning to replace my laptop chip with an intel one because it has a Mediatek and god do I hate them with a passion. Works intermittently at the best of times.
