The New Rust-Written NVIDIA "NOVA" Driver Submitted Ahead Of Linux 6.15

It's a start, at least. I can't wait for the day Nvidia users need not worry about installing seperate drivers, as AMD users do (yes I know we can change or upgrade them, but for most users it won't be necessary).

By the sounds of it that'll just be a basic framework and it'll be a bit before it becomes usable, but progress is progress.

Aye, it's going the right way for Nvidia with this step.

Yes. In the 6.15 Kernel will not be a ready Driver; it is more a Skeleton or Frame. It is first for testing if it and how it runs with the Kernels.

And to say that clear: It is made for Nvidia 20XX Cards and up.

Well, its about time! Finally someone with some sense, is developing an Nvidia driver, that will hopefully come with the kernel, so we don't have to jump through Nvidia's hoops, to get a driver working, so we can leverage our Nvidia GPU's. Nice!
