Thunderbird Calendar and Contact Sync

I'm Brand new to Linux - literally set up a dual boot with Zorin a few hours ago. I can find work arounds for just about everything but so far have not found an easy way to sync contacts and calendar between Evolve or Thunderbird and my Android. Currently doing everything with outlook between PC and Android but I could import everything over to google if there is an easy way there. Really appreciate any insight or recommendations... Like I said, Linux is brand new to me.

There are two Thunderbird extensions you need if tying to sync Calendars etc with Outlook. They are

  1. Provider for Exchange ActiveSync
  2. TbSync

I can vouch that these extensions are available and work for TB (64 bit) native app using the Mozillateam ppa. I do not know if they work on other containerised (i.e. snap/flatpak) versions. Maybe this old thread will help in some way. Thunderbird 32bit and add-ons

Welcome to the Forum!

Is Thunderbird installed as Snap or Flatpak?

Google general search AI is suggesting:

Syncing Linux Thunderbird with Android involves using IMAP for email, CalDAV/CardDAV (via apps like DAVx5) for calendars/contacts, or the new Thunderbird for Android (K-9 Mail) app.

Could You please add what AI Tool You have used?
