To Plasma or not to Plasma (revisited - originally in General Help last year)

Well slightly off-track here. Just wanted to point out some of the pitfalls in Plasma 6.x, particularly with using a Tiled Menu.

Just been giving the current release of Tuxedo OS a run as a VM in virt-manager - based on Ubuntu 24.04 just like Zorin:

Now when you install 'Tiled Menu Prime' to get a Windows 10 styled menu, Productivity title for the group that contains LibreOffice Writer, Calc and Gmail slip out of view. But unlike the Tiled Menu from zren, you can expand the menu easily with Ctrl+ Mouse drag:

and then you can resize back to where it should be.

This is a bit like the beauty of xfce where you can drag the menu to where you want. Tiles can be glided around Tiled Menu Prime with ease.

The one thing I changed on this VM of Tuxedo OS was the browser - replaced Firefox with LibreWolf.

The second was to replace Thunderbird with Evolution.

I think on reflection and remembering, you could stretch the tiled menu from zren but it required Ctrl+ hold right-mouse button which didn't always work consistently unlike 'Prime's' Ctrl+ hold left-mouse button. Additionally, the 'tile slidability' was not available in zren's version, you had to alter position using x/y co-ordinates in Tile Editor. 'Prime' version has ironed out the issue.
