Touchpad button is not working

Device: Lenovo IdeaPad 320 15 IKB
CPU: Intel i5 7th gen
Ram: 8GB
Touchpad technology: Elan

I love Zorin OS and it is my first attempt to experience linux.

But my touchpad button is not working. I can not give left click or right click from touchpad. But my mouse is working.

Then I try linux mint and at that time, my touchpad was working with zero complain.

Hi,

Try this; Open terminal and copy/paste;

sudo apt install xserver-xorg-input-libinput xserver-xorg-input-multitouch xserver-xorg-input-synaptics

Reboot.
That should cover the most.

Quick question, which version and which flavor of Zorin are you running? (i.e. Zorin 15.3 Lite)
I think this is a problem that exists on Zorin 15.3 Lite because it doesn't have the Synaptics driver pre-installed. Running the command mentioned by Storm should install it for you and fix the problem.
Or does the touchpad work but you can't tap on it? Does hard clicking work?

@anon37206250 The way I read the OP, it was the hard touchpad buttons that do not work, no mention of tapping soft buttons on touchpad area. I assume OP will confirm this.
