Whenever I double-tap to open something or 2 finger-tap to open a link in a new tab, it automatically clicks on the site my mouse is on when I lift my finger. it causes me to open som other link in my current tab.
Hi, and welcome.
Can you check your mouse/touchpad settings that they are not set to single click?
I don't see a single click option in the touchpad settings. how to find it.
and let me explain my problem more, if i touch the mouse pad immediately after 2 finger tap and after that if i remove my finger it clicks.
I wonder if it is a driver/setting issue. Open Software and search for Synaptic. You should get two results, one for Synaptic Package Manager and one for Synaptic TouchPad. Install the TouchPad and see if any improvement.
Or if using Synaptic Package Manager:
And having just noticed what those packages say, have you tried running Zorin on xorg instead of the default Wayland?
To change between Xorg and Wayland as swarfendor437 suggested, you can click the gear button in the bottom right corner on the login screen. The first option is Zorin Desktop in Wayland (it's not stated clearly, it's not a good thing for new users to not specify certain things, I know ).
Settings > Mouse and Touchpad > Touch to Click. It's also possible to set that a single tap opens files and folders on the file manager from its own settings.
Check if Click Assistant is enabled on Settings > Accessibility.
