Just installed Zorin OS with an Asus Vivobook 13 Slate Oled, how can I make it work?
Hello,
Try see if installing xorg-driver-input-synaptic help. When installed reboot and at the login screen, click your username, a cog should appear in the lower right corner. Click it and change it to Xorg.
It's says ''Unable to locate package'' after trying to install it.
Do you have your Software sources for updates set to Main Server?
How do I check that?
Go to Menu | System | Software Updater. Just after you launch it, click on the 'Stop' button. The interface changes with a 'Settings' button. Click on that and a tabbed interface appears. Go to far left tab. If sources are set to your country server, use the drop-down arrow to the right and select 'Main Server'. You will need to enter your login password to make the change.
Same result.
Try apt search the package.
apt search synaptic
Seems synaptics is already installed:

It is worth mentioning that I have dualboot with windows. Could be that windows is the cause and I have to disable something in it?
Is fast boot and secure boot disabled both in BIOS and Windows?
i.e. In Windows Power setting, disable Fast Start-Up.
That in addition to BIOS settings mentioned by Storm.
Both are disabled now, in Windows and Bios. The touchscreen does't work in Windows either.
I went to the device manager and some of the human interface devices were not migrated such as the touch screen. Maybe I messed up the dualboot?
One day I was thinking why my integrated webcam wasn't working, then I realized that it was disabled on the BIOS settings (I surely disabled in the past and forgot it ). Does the touchscreen input method appear on BIOS settings? If so, is it disabled?
Assalamu Alaikum, hi!
You should try installing/updating drivers for your Vivobook.
Does the Vivobook have NVIDIA drivers? There is a specific install option for that. So, if you installed it with the first option (Install Zorin OS), that could be the problem.
