Touchscreen Question

I am looking at purchasing a refurbished Acer Aspire 5 Notebook with a Full HD touchscreen so I can load Zorin on it. I can't give more specific info on the graphics card because I don't own it (yet).

From research it seems like some of the touchscreen features sometimes don't work or don't work well. I would like to know from someone with more experience than me, if you can give some guidance on worst case scenario. Such as, the display will work like a regular display but the touchscreen features may or may not work. OR the display may not work at all. Would it be better to look for a notebook without touchscreen? Thanks for any suggestions offered.

Well, that would avoid this Problem of Course. When You would have the Opportunity to test the Machine, you could run Zorin from an USB Stick in Live Mode and test if Touchscreen works.

I use a MS Surface Pro which has a touchscreen via a bespoke kernal and iptsd (which iirc has something to do with touchscreens) but yeah since you don't have it it would be hard to know unless someone has that exact laptop
