It's happened on both my Zorin laptops now, every once in a while I go to use it, and the normal one-finger movement doesn't work. it wants two fingers, which is what I would normally use to scroll. and scrolling doesn't work at all. I've been rebooting, and then it goes back to normal for days or even weeks. but is there a longterm fix, and/or just one that doesn't involve a reboot? it's kind of a nuisance.
up to date, zorin 17.3 core. happened on both Lenovo Yoga and Dell Inspiron.
(2) Go into your computers BIOS, and turn off "Secure Boot" & "Fast Boot."
(3) After starting up your computer, when you get to the login screen, click on your name. Now a gear icon appears. Click on that, and choose Zorin on Xorg. Now just complete the login.
Hopefully, with any luck, this fixes your touchpad situation. If not, the only other thing I can think of, is looking for a driver.
(4) Go to software & updates, additional drivers. See if you have a touchpad driver not already installed. If none of this helps in the end, hopefully another mod knows the answer, who uses touchpads regularly.
One other thing I can think of is that suspend mode is causing the problems. Sometimes on some machines not all drivers are loaded correctly when waking up. You could check if it helps going manually (by pressing a button or using a shortcut) into suspend.
