Trying to connect my generic USB controller and no results

I am trying to use my thrid party generic controller named Shinka and my Zorin OS copy does not see it as a gamepad even though it is connected. Mainly trying to use it on Parsec by the way.

Yes, I use xpad, as well. It has worked flawlessly so far.
