Turbocharge your Typing/Coding/Gaming with ONE trick! ⚡

For years, I've used this trick to supercharge my keyboard. Most systems have a default key repeat rate that's slow, typically 500-600ms delay before repeating a key and 25-30 characters/second thereafter. This has been the standard since the 1970's Unix systems, reflecting terminal hardware constraints and user expectations of that era.

This feels sluggish for modern power users, gamers, or coders needing rapid input. Many think buying a better keyboard will boost speed and spend hundreds of dollars on useless gear when my trick is better: run xset r rate 200 50 for a crisp 200ms delay and 50 chars/sec (I found this to be my ideal preference)

You'll instantly unlock lightning fast input effortlessly with 2-3x speed difference with no hardware needed!

You can even add the command to your Startup Applications Preferences in Zorin so it persists every bootup. Try it and tell me what you think! :high_voltage:
