Unable to Detect Input Device (Microphone)

Hello,

I just bought a new BOYA V3 Wireless Microphone. It uses USB-C, and suppose to be plug-and-play. Unfortunately, I am unable to see it listed under the Input Device in the Sound System. But the other microphone that has the 3.5mm headphone jack works just fine.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Typically, USB devises require a driver to work properly on a PC. In my case however, the driver was supplied with the kernel, for my S.M.S.L DAQ.

The best place to go, is to launch the Pulse Audio Volume Control app, navigate to the Input Devises tab, and see if you can select your microphone.

The BOYA microphone isn't detected in Pulse Audio either

Just wanting to make sure, is this the microphone in question you're talking about?

Are both the lights blue on the microphone and the dongle that you would plug into a usb-c port on the computer?

Yes, that is the microphone. The light on the mic and the dongle is both blue when I checked it. I also tested it on my phone and a Windows laptop, and they both works. Not sure why it doesn't work on Zorin laptop.
