Running "sudo dpkg --configure -a" for multiple days did not solve the problem. Again and again hardware errors are reported and fixed. But the process never finishes. Restarting the system did not solve the issue either.
If i remember correctly, the problem appeared after installing and removing several apps.

Good that you posted this. None of these show a package lock... So it seems that the context package had a conflict with your RAM, the system autocorrected the errors.
Has sudo dpkg --configure -a --force-configure-any completed running? It May Take a While...
Nope the process is still running and producing the sequence of hardware error messages and auto correction messages.
Based on the fact that I observed the exact same behavior with sudo dpkg --configure -a running for days without finishing, I am slightly hesitant to believe it will be different this time?
