Unable to set screen resolution

Hey there, I've been using Zorin for about 2-3 months now, but i'm new to this community. I've tried everything in the previous advice, but i still can't set my res to 1920x1080 Yes, it is the optimal resolution for my monitor and am not on a VM.

damn im late

If you want to try the xrandr commands, please switch to Xorg first. Xrandr doesn't work with Wayland.
To do this, logout and at login click on your username, then a cog wheal appears at the bottom right corner. There you can switch between Xorg and Wayland.

If you have an Nvidia card, you may also need the right drivers for the card.
Can you please tell us, what graphics you have?

I use Xorg because of my graphic tablet already? The driver doesn't work with Wayland

I have a pretty ancient Zotac CI260NANO barebone
Yes, it has the capacity to run Win11 smoothly but i don't use it

Here are the result of my tried commands

BTW I use Zorin on main OS, no VM or dual-boot stuff here

I use Xorg cuz of driver issues alr

We need more informations about your system. Which graphics card do you have? If it is an nvidia card, which drivers are installed? You can post the answers in your own thread which you have created.

For my Microsoft Surface tablet I can adjust the resolution using settings/displays/resolution I have much finer resolution selected but I can switch to the 1920x1080 that you want. It just means not much can be seen on the screen because the text is so big.
