Unable to update or install gnome-software Zorin 16 Lite

That solution does NOT work for me to install software or update via the GUI on Zorin 16 Lite. Where does one get permission?

Can you please describe in more detail the trouble you are having?
Does Software Launch when you click it?

Yes Software app starts.If I try to update or install anything I then get the error message. Update works OK from the Terminal app

Try the following, changing $USER to your actual username:

sudo chown $USER:$USER /usr/bin/gnome-software
