Unlike other versions, 18.0 won't let me organize the apps pinned to my task bar. It insists that the few I now have there be in exactly the opposite order I want them in. Can anybody running 18.0 help me?
Could you give us a screenshot of what your dock looks like now? And what layout you're currently running in Zorin Appearance? It might be worth switching to a different layout and back, just to see if maybe something is stuck and that might get it going again. And could you explain exactly what you mean by "Exactly opposite order I want them"? Like are you able to pick up the icons and move them, then they appear in the opposite spot you want them to?
Besides @applecheeks37's Questions: Do You use the actual Zorin Taskbar or the Zorin Dock? Or do You use a Third-Party Gnome Extension like Dash To Panel or Dash To Dock?
Is it possible the task bar is locked?
The pinned application icons now are (from left to right): Brave - Files - Software. I would prefer what I will use most often on the right, meaning I'd want them organized: Software - Files - Brave. It seems to be stuck on lining them up alphabetically. I can slide an icon to a different place, but it immediately pops back to where it was.
I've never heard of "Zorin Dock." What I am using looks like at taskbar, and, when I right click on it, among the items on the pop-up menu that appears is "Taskbar Settings." Incidentally, the taskbar settings don't have an option that will allow the user to organize the pinned application icons.
It's unlocked. BUT I JUST DISCOVERED SOMETHING --- I WAS TRYING TO REARRANGE THE TASKBAR APP ICONS BY MOVING THEM FROM THE LEFT TO THE RIGHT, AND WHEN I DO THAT THEY POP BACK TO WHERE THEY WERE. ***** HOWEVER, I JUST DISCOVERED THAT IF I MOVE THEM FROM RIGHT TO LEFT THEY GO WHERE I WANT THEM TO AND STAY THERE!!!!!! I'VE BEEN USING ZORIN SINCE VERSION 11 AND IT NEVER MATTERED WHICH WAY I MOVED AN A PINNED TASKBAR ICON IF I WAS REARRANGING THEM. WHAT A WEIRD CHANGE. BUT, NOW THAT I KNOW IT'S NOT A PROBLEM ANYMORE. Thanks for the replies!
I mark Your Post as Solution. Good, that it works now.
