Unmounting auto-mounted devices on suspend

Suggestion : As ZorinOS is positioned as desktop OS for laptops it would be nice to have a standard feature to unmount (usb) devices that have been auto mounted. This could prevent file system corruption for unwary users and it is not trivial to setup correctly.

Hello,
the "standard" in security is to lock a session when you are AFK and never let your usb drive plugin

"unwary users" (the vast majority of the human species) don't have their walls decorated with security certificates. How should people arrange for scheduled local backups (which is an important security measure) if their backup devices are unplugged?

and how you do your backup if your drive is unmounted ?!
At home I don't think you need security mesure and At work there are no backup in usb drive...

OK, I stop it, this is more nonsense than I can handle. Bye.

I changed the Thread Category to Feedback because this is a Feature Suggestion.
