I never bothered with this when I was working from home during lockdown - I just extracted the MS Comic Sans from fonts in Windows that I was using and copied into fonts. I've installed MS Core Fonts in the past and when removed, always left some dross behind so I don't do that anymore. I've uploaded the Comic Relief font here:

Hi. There is no ms font that does anything for me for long, and have used comic sans many times, but usually stick with app defaults. The comic relief be about the best. Thanks

I use this font on Zorin OS 16.3, should also be available on OS 17.3. Make sure your fonts pack is installed in Synaptic!
