I updated the Zorin 15 Unofficial Manual thread with the link. Perhaps instead of deleting that thread, delete all prior posts to the one pointing to the Internet Archive. @moderators
It wasn't too hard as I had used the unofficial manual for Zorin 15 as a starting point. I had used neonuser Plasma running virt-manager of Zorin 17 so I could easily capture same size screenshots with Spectacle. Not forgetting TextMaker of SoftMaker Office to construct the whole thing.
I tried a few linux distros but Zorin is by far the easiest to move to from Windows. There is a learning curve, of course, but again Zorin makes it really easy to adapt to Linux. A well rounded, thought out distro with a very good concept.
Used Linux Mint for some time. Some years ago it was pretty good. Now Zorin OS is my default. I will try to research this manual, very useful, many thanks!
I've just tested upload and sharing of the Unofficial Manual for Zorin 15 now that murena cloud is finally back up and running, 7 months on. I will tentatively upload the various manuals in their varied formats for Zorin 17 Core in due course. Thanks for bearing with me. Ironically the default browser on e/OS/ which is Chromium with bromite can no longer cope with uploads to the murena cloud. I've had to use SR Iron browser to do this. Aaaarrrrgggghhhh!
All Zorin OS manuals from 15 upwards here (various formats):
Also included in this folder, Accessible Fonts (currently only Open Dyslexic - don't know what happened to Comic Relief that came out with Zorn 17 Beta!)
Been helping @unruly with Stacer via DM. Was using images from the Open Dyslexic v.IIII version and spotted some glaring errors, images are not with their correct labels. Do moderators want me to temporarily take this 'offline', or leave as is for now?
I don't want the list suspending as far as I am aware it is only the Open Dyslexic Manual that needs adjusting. What I will do is remove the share, make the necessary changes and then post the new share. As they fall under a global share I will move them to a new unshared folder. I need to do this at my computer so as not to make any errors using smartphone.
Well, you could knock me down with a feather. There were quite a few errors in the manual including some major omissions for the Open Dyslexic version. May I at this point offer my most humble apologies to anyone who has inadvertently downloaded the poor offering I thought was complete and correct. The major link of the unofficial manual various formats obviously remains the same. Having amended the .odt file I have now also included .tmdx file for Free Office/SoftMaker Office users, and 2007-2021 .docx format. When I exported to pdf unfortunately, the Contents indexing got messed up so unfortunately there is not a .pdf version available. I will see if I can import into pdf Studio Pro at some point but for now it has taken me about 2 hours plus, with issues on setting up a printer (images in wrong place) along with a few other sections (I used the Comic Relief pdf version to rectify most errors, and I also have updated the Contents page that now reflects the correct page numbers - the hyperlinks/TOC links in the contents section would still take you to the correct page but did not match the page number on the contents page, now rectified! Phew!
