Nov 2023 I installed Zorin OS 16.9 on to a 2015 Macbook Air. I was able to solve it FaceTime HD Camera not working with the first thread. Then Zorin OS 17 came out and I upgraded to it. The FaceTime HD Camera broke again. I was not able to use the first fix. Finally, I found another solution for the FaceTime HD Camera for Zorin os 17.1. Attached is the link and specifically what I script I ran. Rebooted afterwards and tried using guvcview/caprine to test it out. It works!!! Big thanks to FOSV95!

Zorin OS 17.1 core is working great again on this 2015 Macbook Air.
