Another alternative would be to switch to the .deb version of Edge if you don't require the flatpak. Doing that means that shared dependencies aren't packaged; it uses what's on the system, so rather than the old freedesktop stuff, it would use Zorin's. This will also reduce the amount of space used by Edge. It looks to me like you're using the Edge Dev package, which you can find a .deb download for here:

I checked that it installed and ran, but didn't look at it beyond that.

As a followup here, if you do use the Edge .deb, make mental note to delete the repos if you uninstall. The uninstaller left Microsoft repos that I only noticed because I happened to do a manual apt update today.
