Updated Zorin 18 Pro ISOs

Just wondering if the Zorin 18 Pro ISO will be updated to the R-2 candidate that Zorin Core is? The ISO I downloaded gives the odd dpkg error. Yes, I could use the workarounds, but it'd be nice if the Pro version was updated. After all, it would then be consistent with the free edition.

Don't quote me on this, but the answer is, it should be. The whole point of an upgrade tool, is not just to make ones software life more convenient, but to also upgrade to the latest version, since it is using a download process as well.

If you are old enough, you might remember the old days, when you had to install an OS from CD's or Floppies. You couldn't get the latest version, unless you bought a new set of installation media.

And back in those days, the internet was much slower then today, so it wasn't like you could reliably download an upgrade back then either. The internet started truly being more useful, back in 2003 and beyond, when cable internet became a thing.

Cause if you were still on Dial Up internet, it wasn't happening, as it took all day to download 100MB, on a 56K Dial Up modem. The phone companies hated early internet users, and would often intentionally ruining our software downloads, by killing the connection.

Jokes on them though, who pays for a land line phone anymore? We use cell phones now. Most people have cut the cord for TV now as well, only boomers pay for cable TV.

Mess with our internet downloads we were painlessly waiting all day for, don't be surprised when we cancel our subscription with you later. Will have the last laugh lol.

Interesting. I did not see any announcement of 18 Core R2 by the devs, but yes it is the current version in downloads.
Lack of communication again, or have I simply missed the announcement?.
I wonder what they have changed this time.

Me.
Because a landline is:
– more stable
– more secure
– and less energy-intensive
than a cellular connection.

...and copper landlines still work when there is a power outage.

This was true in the past.
Now, in the country where I live, everything is on IP.
