I've purchased Zorin OS 18 and wanted to upgrade from 17.3 to 18. However, my upgrader does say that Zorin OS 18 Pro will be available soon.
Should I install it manually over USB stick?

The $64,000 question is how soon is "soon"? My take on this is backup your data and install your new version.

The upgrader tool is still in the beta phase. You can use it, but there are risks that it comes to problems.
Here is a guide how to turn the beta tool on:
You can try it (save your datas before), wait for the final release of the tool or make a fresh install.

Oh it's still in Beta. But then I don't understand why it is the first recommendation in the help page if it is only Beta. I thought I'm doing something wrong.
At the end of the link to the upgrade help site you have posted you can read the notes about the upgrade from Zorin 17 to 18 and that the upgrade is not recommended yet on productive machines.
Update here: it did work with the guide. I was able to upgrade.
