Upgrade zorin os

I have the free version zorin os 18. If I goto updates, i see upgrade zorin os.
Does that mean, that i upgrade to the paid version.
I don't want that. I want to stay on the free version.

You have two options, one is for Pro (the paid for version) or Education (free) which basically adds Educational Apps, primarily for Primary/Elementary level applications which you could install yourself by installing Synaptic Package Manager, scroll down to Education section and search for your preferred Education Aplications.

When you see something in the software updater it could simple be an update for the zorin upgrader tool. The upgrader tool is still in the Beta phase and maybe it got an update.

When you don't click in the upgrader app on upgrade your system shouldn't be upgraded. And without entering a code or clicking on a download link you received per mail you can't upgrade to pro version.

Here you see how the app would look for the upgrade to pro version:

Welcome to the Forum!

Can You make a Screenshot of what You see?

This is wat I see

Ah, okay. This is not an Upgrade. These are only normal System Software Updates. And one of them is for the Zorin OS Upgrader Tool. This is normal and it will not upgrade Your system. It gets only some normal Updates. So, You keep Your free Zorin Version.

Okay, thanks for your help.

Seems they would do well to name it exactly what you call it: Zorin OS Upgrader Tool. As is, it does look like it itself is the upgrade.

It 100% does, lol

I am going to forward this to the developers to consider a better label for that...
