Upgrading 16.3 to latest 17

Hi,

Happy New Year.

I have 16.3 with Oracle Virtual Box 7 installed with a heap of Apps running in it includinng Zorin 16.3 NOT Pro.

VB's latest is Oct 2024 7.1.4

What is the best way to upgrade to latest Zorin 17 on both Primary and VB so that VB is safe please?

First You should back-up all your Data for the case that something go wrong. Then You should prepare an USB Stick with Zorin on, too. For the same Reason.

Update your System so it is up-to-date. Then turn off all existing added third-party Repo's or delete them and add them later again.

Take Time to do the Upgrade. Be sure that Your Internet Connection is okay. These would be some Tipps from my Side. Let's wait what other's have to say.
