Upgrading Zorin os 17.1 to 17.3

Hello, when I tried to upgrade Zorin os 17.1 to 17.3 using the upgrade Zorin software, it all seemed to work, until I rebooted it, and I suddenly saw that screen that says: “Oh no, something went wrong, a problem has occurred and the system can’t recover, please log in again”. I tried to log in to the desktop with the metacity Version, and it worked, but how can I fix the gnome desktop?

My pc is using the amd ryzen 5 3600x and the gpu I’m using is the nvidia 1660 super.

Hi, the upgrade tool. Is not for incremental updates but for totally new releases (Zorin 17 :up_arrow: Zorin 18) and it is buggy! To upgrade to 17.3, at the terminal enter:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

I would also ensure that you make sure your Software Updater is pointing to 'Main Server' and not your country server.
