USB-C GigaBit adapter does not work with Zorin

Had you checked if the file was present?

roland@roland-HP-Laptop-17-cp3xxx:/lib/modules$ ls
*6.2.0-39-generic 6.5.0-14-generic

It is 6.5.0-14 but not 6.5.0-14.14
Is that correct or is the file wrong
I

Didn't see this - so that would be installing the package libusb-dev; like: sudo apt install libusb-dev then reboot and test the device again..

I was reading this: drivers - How to fix an apparenlty missing kernel module dependency declaration? - Unix & Linux Stack Exchange - looks like one was already attempted loading cdc_mbim before ax88179. But, there were some others on there too, not sure though - not having the device to test out.

Do you have any Thunderbolt options in Settings under Privacy? I know that has something with GPU but not sure about other external devices.

The version was already up-to-date and there is no Thunderbolt in the settings.

libusb-dev ist schon die neueste Version (2:0.1.12-32build3).

That was not successful.

I will not continue to work on a solution. I'll probably try a different adapter. At the moment, it's no longer useful and takes too much time.

No, unfortunately not.

I am just seeking clarity on this:
Does the above mean that you tried a different adapter, but it unfortunately did not change your circumstances?

I'll have to buy another adapter first.

Dear Aravisian, thank you again for your efforts. I have now replaced the adapter and everything is working perfectly. Now the issue can be closed.
