USB drive not showing up after being plugged in

I'm using Zorin OS 15.3
When I plug the USB flash drive the OS makes a sound suggesting that it recognizes it. But nothing is showing up on Files.
"Disks" recognizes the drive as "Generic Mass-Store", but it doesn't show the size and in volume shows "No Media". And the ONLY option available is "Additional partition options" > "Edit mount options"

Update: Tried an old USB stick, again, it makes a sound, but it doesn't show up on Files. "Disks" recognizes it for what it is > 8,0 GB Thumb Drive SanDisk Cruzer Blade. But still, I can't use it. I just can't open it.

Any help?

I don't know how to help with your specific problem. Hopefully, someone else can chime-in with a good solution. In the interim, I recommend consideration to upgrading to a more current release with ZOS 16.3 or ZOS 17 because ZOS 15.3 is no longer supported and has reached end of life sometime last year around April. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. And that's what I'm trying to do. This is my only computer. I want to download the new version of Zorin and put it on a USB stick. But first, I need to solve this problem.

Have you tried formatting the USB stick to exFAT?

Do other USB sticks work normally?

Welcome to the Forum!

So, when the SanDisk Stick is recognize but not shown in Nautilus ... @Aravisian's Format Suggestion is a good point to start.

What You could try too is to test if Your Program with that you want to create the bootable USB Stick recognizes the Stick.

One last Thing that You could do is ask a Friend or Neighbor if You could create the Stick on his/her PC.
