Multiple USB Flash drives are not appearing. I connect it and there is a sound so it is detected. I check Gparted and I can see it there but its not accessible to me.
I don't want to format it and lose the data. How can I access the files on there ?
How are the Sticks formatted?
hmm...tech beginner. how would i get the response you need? as in, how do i find out?
You said you use Gparted, great!
Top right side of APP, you will see a box. Click on the arrow, to drop down the list of drives, connected to the system.
Click on the drive in question. You will see a category called "File System." Under that, what does it say for your drive, EXT4? NTFS?
Please provide a screenshot if possible, thanks!

You can make it with GParted like @StarTreker already has shown to You (You have to choose Your USB Stick in the upper right Corner in the Dropdown Menu) or You use the preinstalled Tool ''Disks'' and open it, click on Your plugged in USB Drive and look under the Partition Table on the right Side for the Format.
EDIT: I have to correct myself a bit: You can see the Format under the Partition Table but also on the Partition Table beneath the Storage Size.

Ok I've got there. Interestingly, GParted isn't showing it but Disks does. Sorry I confused Gparted with disks in the forum title.
I've found format options.
Format Disk....
and
Format Partition...
No, no! Don't touch that! Wait a Second, I make a Screenshot to show You.
Ok! Finger is off the trigger haha
Okay, open Disks (don't Care about the visual Style, that is my Theme) and then 1. click on Your USB Device and then look to 2. and/or 3. for the Format of the Device. If You should be unsure, post a Picture like I did.
P.S.: It is late here now. So, I will go to Bed. Feel free to post here. Other Users will help, too. I will take a Look at it tomorrow. Hopefully it isn't too urgent.
Thanks so much for the detailed image. \this is what i got
Hmm ... that looks weird. The Serial Number looks more like a Placeholder and it only detects 67MB ...
For what have You used the Stick before? And what Data are on it? Did You used it for creating a Boot Stick? Do all Your USB Sticks look like this?
This situation is so strange, that I decided to do a search with your flash drive name, and available storage quantity.
That post explains what has happened to your flash drive, a video from the post as well here.
You could try to employ a fix in the video. If you asked me however, easier to just replace the flash drive IMO.
This is with another flash drive
And these are not brandnew Sticks, yes? And on all theses Sticks are Data? What kind of Data are on it? Documents, Pictures, Music, Vidoes etc.? At least on the last one are the 4GB detected - even when there are 2 Partitions on.
