USB Mouse Wakeup Disabled

Have tried multiple different mice on different USB ports on Zorin 17 and they will not wake up the system from sleep.

Checked /sys/bus/usb/devices/*/power/wakeup and the mouse was always set to disabled. I manually set the mouse to enabled and then it worked to come out of sleep but later it stopped working again. When I checked the wakeup status the system it had put it back as disabled again.

It is an ASUS P5A97 r2.0 motherboard and I tried Microsoft and Logitech mice. /sys/bus/usb/devices/*/product shows that the system knows the mouse is there but it keeps setting the wakeup as disabled.

is there an option or way to force to mouse wakeup to enabled?
