Use of certain apps in Zorin

Still learning as I go , I have opened up two apps and need to understand how to use these optimally. 1. LibreOfficewrite. I cannot find a way to see the navigation on the left hand side in situ to click into a long doc via its headings. 2. In libreoffice write I cannot find a way to remove spaces before and after paragraphs nor how to do this in a bullet format? I also can't get control Y to work nor control K . Is there a crib list to compare and contrast what word v libre writer does I can examine. I can't find a way to embed dynamic boxes for task lists either ( using developer in word) . How do I ensure spell check is the one I want? 3. in Evolution email client i cannot find a way change the order of the email accounts. In Thunderbird I could change this in settings and elevate or demote an account. I loaded the accounts up with the least used first and now this is the primary account. I tried dragging and many other options. I also cannot find a way to change the font colour in signature - it offers edit but stays on the default black whatever I colour I choose. I appreciate there will be differences but the above is holding me up big time

Hello,
A good way, in my opinion, is to use a ‘Getting Started Guide’ (available in some languages) that you can find on the internet.

Regarding Evolution, Thunderbird, etc., you can also find plenty of useful information online

Turn on the navigator at view, then select headings and with the arrows in the navigator you can jump to the next or previous heading or you select a heading in the overview of the navigator box.

You can use Thunderbird on Zorin, too. When this works better for You and You familiar with it, You can use that instead of Evolution.

Thanks but not want I need. I have for example a long document. I put in standard headings level 1 2 3 etc. In word I can show the navigation pane and literally jump to the section that relates to whatever the navigation pane shows. In Libreoffice it simply produces the equivalent of a contents page in a book- fine to know whats in there but useless for practical navigation? Does that make more sense now? I am in meetings and forced to scroll down page after page because there is no way to do it dynamically?

Hm...I've never used that function in Word, but when I tested it yesterday in libre office writer of Zorin, I created headings in a document, and with the navigator I was able to jump from heading to heading (with the arrows), or to select a heading in the navigator box and then to jump there.

Last time I tested this feature it worked as I would have expected (albeit slightly different because they're different programs). Would you be able to maybe include some screenshots of what each program is doing for you with exact differences?

Which Zorin version are you running? Zorin 18, 17...? Do you use the preinstalled libre office or another version? I'm asking because some users remove the preinstalled packages and install the flatpak package, for example.

Thanks for your time  I am on Zorin 18. I think the issue is libreoffice. It creates a second navigation page ( bit like a contents page) not hyperlinked and is frankly useless . I searched and found WPS app which is superior- it shows the navigation on the left and I can jump to whatever section I want - proviso is that headings have to be set up - while here do you know if I can download google drive - I have to use a browser at the moment

If it is a document which was created in google docx, this can help:

It sounds, as if the headings don't work then.

I gave up on libre office and use wps as it automatically mimics Word and in view has a navigation tab toggled on or off. I can indeed put headings in libreoffice but its not much use if its not linked dynamically to navigation. Hope that makes sense!
