User Files being hidden by OS

Here is the issue that seems to extend into other areas.

I have a shared folder (smb) on ReadyNAS104. I can add a bookmark etc works all fine BUT when I download files from a browser/internet and save them in any of the shared folders, they are hidden. I can find them alright but it is just annoying. Also I get a funny UNC path /usr/1000/...etc

Another issue is when using Zoom (install or web) I cannot access files shared in chat or upload files.

When you are in your home folder press ctrl + h to unhide files

Creating a permanent mount point for Samaba instead of using /run/usr/1000/gvfs... should resolve this issue:
