Using tlp in laptop

I've been running Zorin OS on my laptop, Lenovo Ideapad S145, for the past couple of months. On looking for a power-saving program for my laptop i came across tlp.

I have to manually type "sudo tlp start" every time i boot into the OS (Which is not always possible). I looked at the Startup applications and entered the command in the dialogue box there because I kinda need the admin password to be entered.
how can I automate this to enable every time I log in?

You should not need to start TLP after every reboot.
You can check the status of TLP with

sudo tlp-stat -s
