Not sure if this is peculiar to the OS I use which comes with this application.
It allows you to choose between GPT and MBR options for the USB stick created:
I think that is normal. I also had those options when creating the ventoy stick with the app downloaded from the ventoy website.

That isn't OS specific. That comes from Ventoy and is included as Standard. When You download it from their Website, You have that, too.
