Video wallpaper Help

So I was following this tutorial to have a video background for my laptop. but I'm stuck at this point-

and couldn't understant what to do here exactly. Previosly when tried, somehow I created a desktop file here

which contains this

but I think I messed up at point 2 and 3 of setup of the tutorial, whatever happened, now I need help of you guys.

It's a bit old that Guide I wrote.
Instead use the App: Hidamari, it's in the store.

Thread moved to General.

Half GB for just a video wallpaper, wouldn't that be killing of storage for no reason, can't I get through the linux style? also, I think I'm not too far away, I can see the wallpaper in back, until I close the terminal

You can try with this Gnome extensions instead;

I tried Hidamari in the Past and it works well. In general You should think about the Point that You will need a bit of Ressources to run a Video Wallpaper.

I don't know why but It didn't do the work, on enabling it, background goes black, but selecting video path does nothing.

Make sure to reboot the system before using it.

I restarted the PC before enabling it. also checked gnome-shell --version before installing so that I don't clone the wrong repo. Also ensured that meson is installed.

Sorry I can't be more helpful. I don't use Gnome anymore :-/ . Maybe someone that uses live wallpaper and Gnome can step in.

Same here. Plasma has the option built-in. No need for third-party apps or extensions.

Does Your System run in Wayland or Xorg Mode? Maybe Hanabi only runs in Xorg. Go to the Login Screen (not the Lock Screen). Simply reboot for that. On the Login Screen, click on Your Profile so that the Password Field appears. It has to be appeared. Wehn it is appeared, You should see a Gear Icon in the bottom right Corner. Click on it and choose the Option ''Zorin Desktop on Xorg'' and then log in and test it.

If Hidamari really isn't an Option for You, the only other Thing I know is Komorebi. But this is pretty old and I don't know if this will work nowadays. On the Github Page there is an .deb File offered for download if You want to try it.

Agreed. Xwinwrap will not work in Wayland.
