So I ran updates and after that the abobe code thing is gone but now there is an underline like thing above and lenovo and zorin logo is blinking continuously and it is taking a hell lot of time to start.
For a couple of restarts the above code was gone but now it's back
I haven't run into this personally, but this mentions a thinkpad as well, which may be applicable to you here:
boot - Ubuntu hangs on startup at /dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-root. How do I fix it? - Ask Ubuntu
I know it's for ubuntu 20.04, not 22.04, but the reply may apply to you, which is:
From my understanding, in their case this allowed them to view more errors and see what the real crux of the problem is.
If this is a fresh install though, it may be worth downloading a new iso and Verifying that that ISO is good (not corrupt, as may be the case here)
tried this form Ubuntu forum, it didn't work. when the tutorial says the code will stop and the last thing where all it stops, will be the problem, except it doesn't stop and again goes to flickering again.
one thing I forgot to mention, that might be significant and may cause the problem, that before all this on a black screen prints this: ^[[2~ continuously.
That to me indicates that a key or input of some description is being pushed down constantly over boot. Is it possible there's a hardware fault going on here? Can you boot into a live usb and see if the error occurs? I would create a new live usb, with a fresh ISO downloaded and verify the iso to make sure that it's definitely good, and go from there.
Hi.
Changing GPU working mode from dGPU to Hybrid fixed my problem on my Lenovo Legion 5
I am personally not a fan of IGPU's in notebook computers, they are only good for watching YouTube video's, and basic computer usage. But if you need a GPU for doing anything real, like photo production, video production, 3D modeling, gaming, the Nvidia or AMD GPU is the way to go there.
Let's start at the beginning. Running Zorin in Try Zorin mode, please post back the results from a terminal command:
sudo lshw -C video
Additionally is Zorin the only OS? Has secure boot and fast boot been disabled in the BIOS? Is the hard drive set to AHCI in the BIOS (it should not be RAID)? Have you ever updated the BIOS?
after some days all of it fixed by itself automatically. now everything works.
Well glad to hear it's working at least. Consider it a new year miracle
