VirtualBox uninstall and EP problem

Hi All, while this topic was posted the original request was never answered: How to uninstall vbox? I have problems with EP (extension packages), moving virtual screens to host screens in Full Screen mode etc.
However, trying to uninstall VB only results in "no packages found"?
Package Problem:
Name: Oracle VirtualBox Extension Pack
Failed to load the main module ('/usr/lib/virtualbox/ExtensionPacks/Oracle_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack/linux.amd64/VBoxPuelMainDOTso'):
VERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND - /usr/lib/virtualbox/ExtensionPacks/Oracle_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack/linux.amd64/VBoxPuelMainDOTso: undefined symbol: _ZNK9RTCString8endsWithEPKc.
Result Code:

You might use Synaptic

sudo apt install synaptic

In the main window, search for virtualbox and this should show both the installed and not-installed packages - you can then check the boxes to either install what is missing...
Or check the boxes to remove what you want gone.

Then click the Apply button.

Thanks for the quick reply!
This is what I get: I can mark them for install but not uninstall?

Sorry my bad, overlooked 7.0 as being installed!
Cheers!

This may seem a goofy question: What leads you to believe that VBox is installed?

Right off the bat - Is it installed but installed as a Flatpak?

Since Flatpak is not the Standard Package format, in spite of Gnome and Zorin OS both sneakily and underhandedly applying some force by the Software Store defaulting to it, without notification... It will not show as installed in the normal fashion.

You can check with

flatpak list

It is installed as apt "Zorin OS"; I have vms running and can open VB

If it was installed via apt, I guarantee you it would show as installed on Synaptic.
Please double check.

If you select this for Remove Completely, then click Apply - does it then remove it?

Thanks, this worked well. The issue now is that I cannot move virtual screen to a specific host monitor - it used to work but not anymore....Any ideas? 3 host monitors, 2 vm monitors.

Can you please start a new thread on this new issue?

Sure, no problem, thank you for your help!
