Well was trying to look at assisting on another thread regarding shares and thought I would boot up my VM of Zorin 17 Lite. An update occurred and it looked like I had lost internet connection. Been playing around today and Internet is working but the triangular formation icon which should be lit is greyed out!:
Most likely due to it being on VM.
The VM’s network device is a virtual device, managed by the host. Zorin OS sees an abstracted ethernet device that may not behave like a standard interface.
You can usually resolve this by running a reinstall of the kernel within the VM.
I did suspect that. But prior to the update it was lit up like a bare metal install. It is not really a big issue, and I make sure it is pointing to a device with a fake hexadicamal ID.
Yes, in the VM, after the update, recognition faltered.
