Wayland exist on Zorin?

Interesting. I don't have or didn't had that Issue. When I type ''synaptic'' it is shown for me. And when you install it over the Terminal in Wayland? Does this work or isn't it found, too?

I didn't try terminal. Previously it has always shown up in Software, but not since Wayland was made default compositor. In both manuals I advise that Snaptic Package Manager is in Software.

Then like always everyone are excited wayland but not working many things. That means that Cosmo desktop will be the same.

Since Zorin 17 uses Wayland by default I use Wayland (on Zorin 16 I switched manually) when I install Zorin 17 new; I don't need to change to Xorg because my Sytem runs well with Wayland. And this Issue I never had.

But okay, when You have it ... good Question what it could be. When You search it in Gnome Software Store: do it simply shows nothing or stand there ''No App found''?

Can't remember but where it should show available packages it was blank. Itcs no longer an issue for me as I am using Zorin only with Plasma 5.24 and Enlightenment. Plasma uses xorg (X11) by default now as I have disabled Wayland when Zorin Desktop was in use which I have now removed. Synaptic is present for those things not showing up in Discover. Plasma works better for me, especially when using QASmixer and ALSA. Recently had some crackling on speakers when on my user as only sorted sound out in Administrator account. I only had the administrator account present whilst configuring Zorin post install. Remembered to change sound from PulseAudio to ALSA in audacious and chose the correct profile for the sound card via the volume icon in Plasma, which from memory not as straightforward in Gnome (in Gnome have to go through different tabs in Sound of Settings in Gnome, so sorted.

When Plasma for You works, You are free to use it. That is one of the good Things in the Linux World: You have a Choice. When You like Plasma, use Plasma. When You like Cinnamon, use that and so on. The same with Distro's.

I also prefer alternatives to systemd and Pulse Audio, superior!

If You prefer that, it's okay. That is up to You.
