I've recently installed Zorin again since it's the best OS out there for my machine. The one glitch I've run into so far is with one particular website. I have Brave that came with the OS, and I downloaded Chrome as well. No matter which one I use, when I try to go to claude.io and use my Claude Code account the page refreshes every 10 seconds or so. It only happens on Zorin, and it happens on both browsers. When I use the same browser to access it from my Windows computer, it works fine. What do I have turned on that blocks it on Zorin?
Did You checked if that happen with Firefox or a Firefox-based Browser, too?
No, I only checked Brave and Chrome. I will check Firefox now.
Unfortunately, is not uncommon for websites to probe the browser and/or OS that you're running on, and refuse to work under the pretext that "your system doesn't support it".
Normally, though, you should see an error showing up about it, something like this:
The fact that it's refreshing every so often is most likely an issue with the site. Maybe you have an ad-blocker or something around those lines installed? Either way, definitely reach out to their support to ask about this issue.
Piece of advice: don't mention the OS that you're using, and say that you're using Ubuntu if you're asked about it. In reality this probably makes no difference (web standards exist for this reason), but they'll use it as an excuse to get rid of you quickly.
When I visited the mentioned site, it could not load on my browser in the USA...
Yep it was my add blocker. I have Ublock Light and for some reason it didn't work properly and was messing everything up. I fixed it.
