I want to display a desktop widget and would like to hear your recommendations. By the way, I installed Conky but couldn't figure out how to use it.

Welcome to the club .... I tried to delete Conky but it is harder to get rid of than fat son-in-law at a barbecue .... and keeps showing back up .....

If you are asking on Personnel bases, I use Todo.txt, Caffeine, Clipboard Indicator, NetSpeed ( or browser extension), Burn My Windows, Emoji Selector, WinTile, Vitals ( most important 
), Custom Hot Corners – Extended, Impatience, Force Quit and Screenshot Tool and a lot more stuff I can't even remember

I'm using ddterm. It's like guake and tilda but incorporated into Gnome-shell. It's easy access to the terminal.
