What does the computer do in the 3 power mode options?

On Zorin 17 I see there are 3 kinds of power modes: Performance, Balanced and Power saver.

All three really provide a different performance experience. I want to know, what does the computer do in those three modes? Why does it affect performance?

Performance relates to power consumption. These options are really aimed IMHO at notebook users. Performance will be for gamers or for Presentations a bit like Windows where Performance stops the machine from going to sleep when idle. The middle option is to provide a balanced approach to power usage, the last one for when you are using apps that don't require a lot of resources.

I don't have Performance though :person_shrugging:.
